Analysis performed in November 2001, using the GLOBIO methodology as of November 2001, and the DCW as data source, together with the GLCCv2 landcover.
Land cover classifications has been used for the non-impacted (wilderness) areas in the map graphics.

Scenario modeling

Modelling of the future development of human impact and infrastructure for this region is under way, using the GLOBIO methodology.

Arctic, and Barents Sea region

Please refer to the Polar regions for studies that has been performed on the arctic parts of Europe.

Norway

Studies have been carried out in Norway by partners in GLOBIO, and as pilot studies.
