Aggregation done in January 2002 of the regional maps (performed in November 2001, see regional pages), using the GLOBIO methodology as of November 2001, and the DCW as data source, together with the GLCCv2 landcover.
Land cover classifications has been used for the non-impacted (wilderness) areas in the map graphics. Note that the maps has been downsampled in spatial resolution and that the map projections changes introduce some decrease in accuracy.

Scenario modeling

Scenarios have been developed for the four scenarios for 2032 that has been defined in the Global Environment Outlook-3 (GEO-3).

The GEO-3 report (published May 2002) has been supported by GLOBIO and the analysis has been adapted to the four 2032 scenarios: Great transitions, Policy reform, Fortress world and Market forces.

Land cover classifications has been used for the non-impacted (wilderness) areas in the map graphics. Note that the maps has been downsampled in spatial resolution and that the map projections changes introduce some decrease in accuracy.
