PBL and Radboud University formalize collaboration on GLOBIO.

PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and the Radboud University in Nijmegen have signed a formal partnership agreement to further strengthen their collaboration in biodiversity modelling. Over the past three years, both partners have collaborated intensively on the further development of the GLOBIO model. The empirical underpinning of the model has been improved and novel applications have been developed by using GLOBIO for biodiversity footprinting. Over the next few years, the representation of land use in GLOBIO will be improved and the model will be extended with additional indicators of biodiversity. Both partners will also explore other biodiversity-related topics that are scientifically challenging as well as policy-relevant, such as direct and indirect effects of climate change.
