NaturaConnect webinar on Nature Future Scenarios

Exploring Nature Future Scenarios for a resilient Trans-European Nature Network

Join NaturaConnect’s webinar to explore different Nature Future Scenarios that will help to shape the design of a coherent and resilient Trans-European Nature Network (TEN-N)! We will discover how the Nature Future Scenarios can be translated into land use scenarios, how they can be used for identifying connectivity and conservation priorities and finally, how these could inform the design of the TEN-N.

The Nature Futures Framework was developed by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) that informs the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The framework includes three different value perspectives of nature, namely: nature for nature, nature for culture and nature for society. All three value perspectives are envisaged to be considered when developing NaturaConnect’s blueprint for the TEN-N of conserved areas.

On July 4 2023, 2-4 pm CET, the NaturaConnect project organizes a webinar to collect feedback on the current state of development of a set of draft narratives. Your feedback will be of great added value in further shaping the TEN-N design.

Come and join the webinar to share your experience and views on the Nature Future Scenarios! We welcome participants from different sectors and practitioners in the field, including protected area managers, agricultural and private sectors, ministries and spatial planning authorities.
